Storms can affect your home in many ways. All roofing materials are exposed to the elements, and take quite a beating. Some have tabs missing, and others have whole shingles torn off by wind. Hail hits roofs and leaves bruising in the shingle surface, and can cause leaking in as little as one year. We have even seen where lightning hit a chimney, and exploded the shingles around the flashings. Limbs also fall from trees, and punch holes through the roof deck.
